Meetings

Our meetings are held at The Dasom Community Church, 501 S. Emerson Street, Mount Prospect , Illinois, on the third Wednesday of every month from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. These sessions include current news in the model ship building community, kit reviews, technical and historical presentations, and a “Ships on Deck” period where members discuss their current projects, and any difficulties they may be encountering.

Guests are always welcome at our meetings. So, if you are interested in model ship building, and want to learn more about the hobby, or just want to be around other individuals who appreciate the beauty of ships, please join us at our next get-together.

First face to face meeting for 2026

The first face to face Midwest Model Shipwright meeting for 2026 will set sail with the April 15th gathering. Being that this is our first F2F meeting of the year, lets have a monster Ships on Deck. Bring in a favorite tool, model, plans or book.

You have been waiting three months for another Coleman Seskind flea market, and you will have it! Be sure to bring any loose change you have accumulated since December.
